We had a good Fourth of July yesterday. Last night, John Usher had a nice cinq à sept at his house to celebrate his birthday and departure for dear old Blighty, as he calls it. (No, not a celebration of Independence Day -- I don't think there's an official one here in Montreal.)
Maj, Amita June and I went over to our friend Patti's for nice sushi takeout from Tokyo Sushibar. Yay! I got dropped off at YULblog at the Quincaillerie for a late-evening drink. It was a good time -- I got to talk a lot to Chris Car and Hugh McGuire, whose time I tend to monopolize.
