I'm extremely glad to see that Creative Commons launched a public discussion of the Creative Commons 3.0 license draft. I highly recommend that interested people take a look at the licenses; they've had some very important changes that make works available under the new licenses more compatible with Free Software.
Part of my work for Debian has been discussing these changes with Creative Commons and helping to make the licenses work for Debian. I'm glad to say that much progress was made; sadly, there's one outstanding issue that may be a blocker.
