We're off to Long Beach tomorrow for a week in Southern California. I'm looking forward to the trip, but I'm sad that we missed a couple of Californian events this weekend.
Creative Commons had its 4th Birthday Party on Friday the 15th. Apparently it was a nice big fun time, and it would have been good to be there.
More importantly, for me, is that we weren't able to be in San Francisco for the memorial service for Allison Lange today. Allison was only an acquaintance for me, but she was an important part of the lives of a lot of people who are important for me, and it's been hard seeing their pain and grief at her untimely death last weekend. I'm sorry I couldn't be there with them today, but I want to catch up with each individually while we're back in the other CA.
